EGGEMOA Steiner - Soft Cheese From Raw Cow's Milk with Red Smear

Steiner, a creamy raw milk cheese from the Eggemoa cheese factory in South Tyrol, matures for six weeks. The cheese is soft but pleasantly elastic. The red smear flavour remains elegantly in the background and lets the clear, milky, herbal taste take centre stage. The cheese rind is brushed with saltwater by hand during the ageing period and is a trademark of this cheese. So please don't cut it away, enjoy it!

A fruity white wine (preferably from South Tyrol) or light beer make lovely choices to pair this cheese with.
