Ehrenwort Rose Salt from Bolivia

This rose salt is cultivated on the plateaus of the Andes. In this remote location it is protected from environmental influences and is stored under a thick volcanic layer of rock. It is traditionally mined by hand.

The salt looks like rose quartz and gets its colour though its particularly high iron content. Calcium, potassium and magnesium provide for a fine, mild taste. Ideal for poultry, fish and meat!
