This Weissburgunder from the Styrian volcanic region is enjoying increasing popularity. Since 2019, the varietal has been granted a protected designation of origin and may bear the DAC seal.

This regionally representative wine from Krispel is a prime example of a classic Styrian Weissburgunder. Matured dry in a steel tank, it boasts a fine interplay of fruit and acidity. On the nose and palate, it is excitingly crisp with yellow pear and exotic fruit aromas. In the juicy finish, feel typical bitter almonds; subtle but benevolent.

Pairs well with asparagus, vegetarian dishes, cold starters or Styrian fried chicken. This representative varietal also cuts a fine figure solo in the garden on a warm summer afternoon.
