Description
Arrowroot starch is obtained from the exotic arrowroot plant. It is a great thickener that does not alter the taste of the original dish. Arrowroot starch is purely plant-based, gluten-free and can be used for many purposes in the kitchen. It serves as a thickener for sauces and puddings and also as an alternative to gluten in gluten-free bread or as gluten-free breadcrumbs for breading and frying.
Preparation: To thicken 250 ml of liquid, dissolve 10 g of arrowroot starch in a little cold water. Stir slowly into the sauce or dish to be thickened, bring to the boil once and simmer briefly.
