Stöber Mühle one uses selected ingredients from the region for their baking mixes. The use of artificial flavour enhancers or preservatives is deliberately avoided.

Add smoky, bittersweet notes and give your bread a wonderfully crunchy crust with this yummy rub. The small spice ball included with the mix can also be used as a spice blend for seasoning meat or vegetables.


  1. Crumble up the spice ball over a small bowl. Add 5 tablespoons of apple juice, beer or water, stir and set aside.
  2. Add 450 ml of water to the baking mix in a bowl and knead well by hand or with a suitable mixer.
  3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rest for about 20-30 minutes.
  4. Knead the dough again, shape it and let it rest for another 20 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Preheat the oven (electric) or the grill to 230 ° C
  6. Stir the rub to a creamy consistency and spread it over the bread.
  7. Coat the baking paper in water to give your bread a nice, crunchy crust!
  8. Oven: place the bread on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Bake at 230 ° C for 10 minutes, then reduce to 190 ° C and bake again for about 15 minutes.
  9. Grill: place the bread at 230 ° C directly on the wire rack in indirect heat, close the lid, open the ventilation slide and bake for about 20 minutes.
