The special ingredients in this baking mix go well with wild game, beef, lamb or veal. The rub (spice mix included with every baking mix) gives the bread a very special flavour and makes it extra crunchy!

  1. Place the small spice ball in a small bowl, then crumble it up with your hands. Add 5 tablespoons of currant juice, beer or water, stir and set aside.
  2. Pour the baking mix and 450 ml of water in a bowl and knead well by hand or with a suitable mixer.
  3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rest for about 20-30 minutes.
  4. Knead the dough well, shape it and let it rest for another 20 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Preheat the oven (electric) or the grill to 230 ° C.
  6. Now stir the rub well again, creating a creamy texture. Then spread the rub over the bread.
  7. Coat the baking paper with water to ensure a crunchy crust.
  8. Oven: place the bread on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Bake at 230 ° C for 10 minutes, then reduce 190 ° C and bake again for about 15 minutes.
  9. Grill: heat to 230 ° C and place the bread directly on the wire rack on indirect heat. Close the lid, open the ventilation slide and bake for about 20 minutes.
