Description

This baking mix by Bake Affair can be prepared with regular butter or non-dairy butter substitute for a vegan version. All ingredients are vegan while the list is pleasantly short and includes no artificial additives. Whip up an aromatic batch of these delicious Christmas classics and pamper your loved ones!

Prepare the fresh ingredients for about 500 g cookies (one and a half baking trays):

  • 110g butter or 110g vegan butter

1. Open the seal, take out the sachet with the vanilla sugar and set aside.

2. Pour the baking mix into a large bowl.

3. Cut 110 g cold butter (butter substitute) into small pieces and add to the baking mix in the bowl. Knead into a dough by hand, in a food processor or with your Thermomix for about 1 minute.

4. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes or overnight.

5. Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat.

6. Line baking trays with baking paper.

7. On a floured work surface, shape the dough into a 3 cm thick cylinder and cut into 1 cm thick pieces. Roll each piece between the palms of your hands, shape into crescents, and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

8. Bake in the oven on the second shelf from the bottom for about 10 to 15 minutes until the ends are lightly brown.

9. Dust the baked cookies with vanilla sugar while they are still warm. Let them cool for about 10 minutes.

1. Take the dough out of the fridge and shape into small balls (approx. 2.5 cm in diameter).

2. Place the dough balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven (180 °C top/bottom heat) for around 20 to 25 minutes until golden.

3. Dust with vanilla sugar while they are still warm.

4. Let the cookies cool for about 10 minutes.
