Pinto beans owe their name to their striking, speckled appearance, in Spanish, “pinto” simply means “painted”. In the kitchen, these pretty beans transform into true texture wonders when cooked: they become wonderfully soft and take on a slightly creamy consistency.

Preparation:
- Soak 100 g of beans in water for approx. 12 hours.
- Then cook in fresh water for 50–60 minutes.
- Only add salt at the end of the cooking time.
