Savory's leaves are used fresh and dried. Savory is ideal for fatty meat and fish dishes, hearty soups, potato dishes, venison and mushroom dishes.
Originally savory came from Asia, more specifically from the eastern Mediterranean. Today, it is widely grown in Europe, India and even in South Africa.
