Traditional Austrian "Vanillekipferln" should not be missing at Christmas. Rosenfellner has put together an excellent baking mix so you can quickly and easily bake these biscuits. Just add butter, nuts and some cream.
Preparation:
- Mix the baking mix with 160g melted butter and 70g finely chopped nuts (eg walnuts) to form a dough. If the dough is too dry, add some cream. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Shape the "kipferl" into crescent shapes and place them on a baking sheet. Bake at 190 ° C (standard) or 170 ° C (convection). Bake on the middle rack for approx. 10 minutes - after baking, toss in icing sugar (powdered sugar) while still hot or let cool and dip the tips in chocolate glaze.
