Sour cherries have extraordinary properties and nutrients such as phenolic substances, vitamins A and C. Freeze-dried Amarena Del Rio cherries are extra-large, fleshy and have a relatively low acid content but enough to be refreshingly tangy. Once the cherries are harvested they have to be processed very quickly as they tend to spoil soon. Depending on the variety, they can be harvested starting in May.
