Description

Cinnamon flower buds are the fruits of the cinnamon tree that are just developing. Their slightly tart, sweet aroma is very similar to that of cinnamon sticks but have a less woody and a more floral, fruity and mild flavour. They are a bit reminiscent of a mixture of cinnamon and cloves. You can use cinnamon blossoms whole, grind them in a mortar, or grind them in a spice mill.

Usage: Cinnamon flower blossoms go well in any dish that you would use cinnamon with. Use them to refine desserts, jams and compotes, baked goods and hot drinks.
