Emmer what has a spicy, nutty and intense flavor. This grain is easy to digest, has a high protein content of up to 17%, and contains carotenoids and minerals. The whole grain may be used in place of steamed rice or in casseroles and stir-fries. If you grown the grains into sprouts they are yummy additions to finished meals.
Preparation: Soak for 2-4 hours in cold water, then boil for 20 minutes. Finally, steam the grains in a lidded pot for 20 minutes.
