Description
The Maca plant originally comes from Peru and belongs to the same plant genus as cress. The plants belong to the cabbage family and are used in Peru similarly to the way that we use potatoes in Europe. Maca is considered a basic food stable and is used for many different dishes. The tubers look similar to radishes and are roasted, baked or transformed into a sweet porridge or soup and are even used to make a refreshing beer (Maca Chicha).
Why did we decide to make a Maca powder? In contrast to capsules, powder is readily available for the body to use. Powder is also easier to dose individually to meet your needs.
The sweet and nutty flavour of the powder makes it wonderful for use in granolas, yoghurt, milk or smoothies. The powder is vegan, lactose and gluten-free!
Recommended use:
- Use 3g daily (about half a teaspoon) with plenty of water.
- Pregnant or nursing people should not use the powder without consulting a doctor!
