Breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life is particularly important for babies with a family history of allergies. If this is not possible and you decide, after consulting a paediatrician, to fully or partially bottle feed, Aptamil Infant Formula Based on Cow's Milk HA PRE is a suitable option to feed your baby in case of a family history of allergies. It is formulated with a special combination of broken-down (hydrolysed) proteins.
Please note:
- Leading experts strongly recommend breastfeeding babies for the first 6 months of life. Please consult a doctor if you would like to switch to infant formula.
- HA PRE infant formula is suitable from birth to the end of the bottle-feeding phase as the sole source of nutrition or as a supplement to breast milk.
- HA PRE is not a suitable infant formula for your baby if you suspect that your baby is allergic to cow's milk protein or if this has already been diagnosed. In this case, please consult a doctor.
Dosage: As with breastfeeding, you can feed this formula on demand. Refer to the manufacturer's dosage chart below for the correct ratio of powder and water. Please keep in mind that the number of bottle feeds per day and the amount your baby drinks at each meal are guidelines only and may vary from baby to baby.
Always use the measuring scoop included in the pack to measure out the powder and level the measuring scoop by scraping off excess powder on the scraper edge in the pack. 1 level measuring scoop = 4.6 g powder.
