Description
Apricots and marzipan make a dreamy pair, so what could be more delightful than apricot jam paired with amaretto? Belberry, a Belgian company, makes this preserve by combining sweet, fruity apricot jam with Italian almond liqueur. The Amaretto has a clear, slightly tart marzipan note.
The apricot jam with amaretto goes well with toast and makes a wonderful filling for biscuits or cakes.
Tip for quick baked goods:
- Take store-bought puff pasty out of the fridge and let it cool to room temperature. Cut into squares or triangles as desired and fill each with a teaspoon of jam. Fold over the pastry to make a pocket (seal the edges well or score them with a fork). Alternatively, roll up the puff pastry triangles to form small croissants. Brush with an egg yolk if necessary. Bake the puff pastry in the oven until golden brown according to the instructions on the package. Enjoy for breakfast or as an afternoon snack!
