Spelt contains high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals and is also rich in fibre and unsaturated fatty acids. Bake a delicious and aromatic loaf of spelt bread easily at home with this baking mix.

In addition to the baking mix, you will need the following fresh ingredients:
9 g dry yeast or ½ cube fresh yeast, about 440 g lukewarm water


  • Stir the yeast into 440 g lukewarm water in a large bowl
  • Add the baking mix and knead briefly
  • Food processor kneading time: 7 - 10 minutes
  • Place the dough on a floured work surface, cover and let it rise at room temperature for about 30 minutes
  • After the resting time, shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf tin or line it with baking paper first
  • Cover the dough and let it rise again for about 30 minutes
  • Preheat the oven (convection, 230 °C)
  • After the rising time, place the loaf tin with the dough in the oven
  • Immediately sprinkle water on the hot oven floor to generate steam
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 230 °C, then reduce the temperature to 180 °C and bake for a further 40 minutes
  • If using baking paper, take the bread out of the tin 10 to 15 minutes before the end of the baking time and finish baking the bread without the tin
  • If the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom, it's done
  • Cool completely on a wire rak and enjoy!

One pack of the baking mix makes about 1 kg spelt bread.
