Description

On the hills of the Roero in the Piedmont region of Italy, sun-ripened plums are harvested and processed into this traditional speciality. The plums are preserved in a syrup made with Moscato d'Asti DOCG, a rather sweet white wine.

Serve these plums with ice cream, rice pudding and semolina porridge or as a fruity complement with Kaiserschmarrn or cakes. They also add a sweet contrast to hearty dishes with meat or game.

Note: Please refrigerate after opening and consume quickly.
