Cremant d'Alsace is a top French sparkling wine. In addition to Champagne, there are some large and well-known sparkling wine regions whose products are usually referred to as cremants. Alsace is one of the best and largest producers of sparkling wines.

This cremant, Cuvée Julien, is produced according to the traditional method, i.e. with the second fermentation in the bottle, like in Champagne or with top winegrowers.

You can tell from the fine pearls that spiral upwards in the glass that this is a high-quality sparkling wine.

There's a lot of light fruit on the nose, with some chalky mineral notes and brioche. This impression continues on the palate. There's a multi-layered aroma, fine perlage and a great acidity paired with the sweetness of the dosage. It's really fun, great quality and not that different to its big brother from Champagne.
