Description

This Italian cake is shaped like an Easter dove and is made of a light, fluffy sourdough cake batter. In this version, instead of orange peel or raisins, candied black cherries and dark chocolate have been added to the batter. The icing stays true to the classic recipe and is decorated with coarse sugar, hazelnuts and crunchy, whole almonds.
