One of the many specialities of the Piedmont region is the chestnuts from the provincial capital of Cuneo. The tasty chestnuts are rich in fibre, protein and vitamins and contain very little fat.
Galup only uses large, perfectly firm Cuneo chestnuts. After the chestnuts have been gently steamed and peeled they are glazed, bringing out their naturally sweet flavours.
You can snack on the chestnuts the way you would chocolates and they also go well with classic, hearty autumn and winter recipes like red cabbage, roast goose or duck, pork and beef fillets or wild game dishes.
