Küfferle has been producing fine chocolate creations in Vienna since 1892. Küfferle was also the “inventor” of the chocolate umbrellas, which are extremely popular in Austria and a must-have Christmas tree ornament in many homes. Their signature chocolate umbrellas and chocolate cat's tongues gained them many passionate fans in their homeland. In 1972 Küfferle was acquired by Hofbauer, another famous chocolate maker based in Vienna. Their delicious chocolate cat's tongues continue to enjoy immense popularity to this day!
