Description

This Bluefränkisch wine is produced from grapes harvested from 40-year-old vines in the Hochberg vineyard in Neckenmarkt. Ageing it in barrique barrels produces a dark coloured wine that is bursting with intensity and finesse. A big wine that emphasises how gorgeous this varietal can taste.

Fine wood spice, figs and blackberries on the nose. Dry on the palate, powerful with beautiful complexity. Immediately triggers a smile and invites you to take another sip. The tannins are round, sweet extracts, nougat, blackberries and a delicate, long chocolate kiss on the finish. Simply fantastic.

Can easily be aged for another 10 years. Pairs well with hearty dishes with dark meat and game. But also very enjoyable on its own.
