Description

The Excelsior red wine cuvee has an impressive liveliness and enticing charm. Typically for the central Burgenland region, this cuvée consists of Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvingon, Merlot and a small amount of Syrah. After 24 months in new French barrique barrels, the wine shows an extra-rich body and skilfully flexes its muscles.

On the nose blackberries, rum pot, vanilla notes and a hint of eucalyptus. Very noticeable at the first sip are young tannins which are offset by notes of wood. Warm and very long on the palate and finish. Those who enjoy modern, bold red wines will be delighted with this wine.

Can be stored for at least 10 years or longer. A wine for meditation, to warm up on cold days or as a pleasant drink to enjoy in the company of good friends.
