The long pepper may not be the most famous or well-known pepper, but it does have a very interesting and uniquely spicy flavour with a sweet, yet sharp, slightly earthy taste that goes very well with pasta, salad or game meat.

The Kampot pepper, or the "pippali" long pepper, is grown in Cambodia. The tropical conditions there make it possible for this now rare variety of pepper to be grown sustainably. "Kampot pepper" is a protected designation of origin.
