Spice for Life Organic Mace, Whole, 20 g

Mace, the layer that surrounds the nutmeg kernel tastes very similar to nutmeg but develops a sweet, elegant flavour. It should not be missing in any good curry or beef dish and harmonises well with fish. Grate the mace before using in a spice or coffee mill. The organic mace should be stored cool and dark, otherwise, the wonderful aroma dissipates rather quickly.

The mace has a shiny red or purple colour at the time of harvest and assumes an amber colour only during the drying process. This mace comes from Sri Lanka from a small farming project, where the emphasis is on sustainable, environmentally friendly and certified organic farming.
