Description

Emmer is considered to be the original form of wheat and is full of important nutrients such as protein, magnesium, iron, zinc, carotenoids and many more.

Emmer flour is significantly more aromatic than flour from modern wheat grains and the dark colour is also characteristic of the ancient grain. It is also somewhat coarse, making it ideal for pasta.

You can use the organic emmer flour by Stöber Mühle in a variety of ways, best mixed with other types of flour:

  • For a particularly aromatic, dark bread, mix approx. 10% emmer flour with the flour your use to make your bread dough.
  • For all kinds of baked goods: Shortcrust pastries with emmer flour are particularly fluffy, cakes made with yeast (yeast) and whipped batter have a crystalline structure.
  • Pizza and pasta dough works just as well with emmer flour as savoury or sweet dumplings.
  • Emmer flour can also be used for cooking: whether as a porridge (similar to polenta), for soup additions, stews, casseroles, patties and much more
