Weingut Günter u. Regina Triebaumer EXTRAKT, Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum 2021

Günter Triebaumer brings us yet another delightful barrel tasting. After the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon "Schwund" extract, the best barrique barrel with Cabernet Sauvignon from the dream vintage 2021 has now been bottled for this special edition limited bottling.

A broken wheel on the fermentation tank let to an unwanted concentration on the 2018 vintage. With this new 2021, the yield was already greatly reduced in the vineyard and some must was extracted to bring more tannins and thus a natural concentration into the wine. After a total of 24 months in new 300-litre barrique barrels, the wine is still at the beginning of what is sure to be a very long journey.
Only 300 bottles and a few magnums of this wine are available. Limited quantities, unique and exclusive - there is no more of it and there probably won't be any more available.

This fantastic wine is deep, dark with a lot of pressure on the palate, bursting with power. Strong, gripping tannins bear witness to its concentration. Delicate aromas of cassis, fresh figs and plenty of precious wood spice on the nose. Powerful, tightly woven and yet juicy on the palate. Lots of wine in the mouth with pleasant blueberry fruit, a chocolaty touch and a slightly nutty finish. Lingers for a long time and glides warmly and favourably into an almost endless finish. This is exactly what a great Cabernet Sauvignon should taste like!

A unique collector's item that is already drinkable now (but please decant 2 hours before), but is guaranteed to develop even more over the next 10-15 years. Each bottle has been lovingly hand-sealed with black sealing wax.
