Description
The Onion Lard by Zwergenwiese is entirely plant-based and tastes delicious as a spread on fresh dark bread. The sweetness of the roasted onions, the fruity aromas of the dried apples and aromatic herbs form a harmonious medley of flavours. A great, vegan alternative to pork lard made from purely organic plant-based ingredients.
Tip: You can use the onion lard when cooking such as to sauté vegetables or to make stir-fries. Try adding it to mashed potatoes instead of butter (3 tablespoons for 500 g potatoes).
