Description

Kala Namak salt is boiled with Chebula tree fruit to give it a sulphurous, egg-like flavour. After that, the salt is dried and turns a purple colour. The salt can be used to season chutneys, raitas, curries and other typical Indian dishes. In addition, the light eggy flavour makes it very popular in vegan cuisine.
