They cook down to a wonderfully creamy consistency without you having to spend a long time at the stove. This makes them the perfect base for velvety dals, smooth dips or creamy soups. With their bright colour and mild, spicy character, they are a real highlight for both the eyes and the palate.
Preparation:
- No soaking required.
- Bring 150 g of lentils to a boil in twice the amount of water.
- Simmer for 10–15 minutes with the lid closed.
- Only add salt at the end of the cooking time.
