Description
The Gianduiotto is a nougat praline with a long tradition. It was created in Turin in 1865. Since cocoa was an expensive luxury good at the time, a resourceful confectioner came up with the idea of stretching the cocoa with the local, readily available hazelnuts. Gianduiotti were distributed for the first time during Carnival by the locally known figure "Gianduja", to whom they owe their name and shape. The latter is reminiscent of the hat of the crafty farmer.
Only hazelnuts from Piedmont are allowed to be used in the Gianduiotti. The hazelnuts give the chocolates their characteristic taste and scent. Individually wrapped, each praline in the beautiful gift box is a treat for the palate!
- Advice on storage: Store in a cool, dark and dry place at a maximum of 18 ° to 20 ° C.
