Description
In Italy, panettone is traditionally served as a dessert over Christmas holidays and New Year's. There are countless variations of the classic cake.
This variety is made with lots of fruity raisins! Compared to the classic recipe, 40% more of the sweet fruits are packed into the fluffy sourdough cake, taking the place of the candied citrus fruits (lemon peel, orange peel /aranzini) that are usually used in the panettone. Thanks to the essential mandarin and orange oils, the cake still retains its traditional, slightly citrus-y aroma. Finally, the panettone is crowned with a crispy hazelnut glaze.
