Description
The Kampot black pepper is a highly aromatic pepper rarity from the Cambodian region of Kampot and grown between the evergreen primeval forests of the "Elephant Mountains" and the roaring surf. It tastes pleasantly sharp with subtle hints of mint. You can feel its interesting character when sprinkled on juicy fruits such as mango and pineapple, creamy desserts, crunchy salads and fine dishes made from fresh vegetables.
Dark meats, hearty dishes and vegetarian recipes all benefit from its full-bodied finish and slightly earthy aromas when heated. Fresh vegetables, especially tomatoes, complement its ethereal nuances.
Special feature: this pepper is harvested while it is still green. The grains are dried in the sun and turn black due to natural fermentation. The can contains whole grains - ideal for mortars and spice mills.
