Organic Seaweed Flakes by Khoysan have a delicate, natural taste and are a nutritious addition to the diet as well. Sprinkle on salads, vegetables, potatoes, cereals and pasta to add a fine flavour. Also a wonderful seasoning for fish, stews, soups and pizza.
Khoysan seaweed is sourced from the clean and oxygen-rich South Atlantic. The seaweed is carefully harvested by hand and dried in the sun. Strict harvesting rights on the west coast of South Africa limit the amount of seaweed that can be harvested. Seaweed has been a traditional food for thousands of years not only in Japan and many parts of Asia but in coastal European regions too.
Vegetarians and vegans will especially appreciate these "sea vegetables". They have an exceptionally high content of minerals, trace elements, high-quality protein and vitamins. Regular consumption of this healthy food has a positive impact on health and well-being.
Using seaweed as a seasoning adds a wonderful seafood flavour to your dishes and is a protein-rich energy source for the brain and body as well. It could help stimulate blood circulation, eliminate toxins and have a regulating effect on the thyroid and metabolism.
