Description
Berbere is a carefully balanced blend of spices from Ethiopia. Each family has their own recipe but with a few common ingredients. Spice for Life's Berbere blend contains an aromatic blend of chilli, smoked black pepper, cardamom, garlic, cassia cinnamon, fenugreek and allspice. The finely ground powder is mainly used to season chicken - for example in casseroles with chicken thighs. This traditional dish is called "Doro Wat" and will surely inspire you to create your own wonderful variation!

Delicious
A delicious and very fragrant mix, especially for warming winter stews. It is a little bit hot, but not excessively. Really like the fact that no salt is added to it, so you can add as much spice mix as you like without making the dish too salty.
