Weingut Ecker-Eckhof Grüner Veltliner Ried Mordthal 2023

The Mordthal vineyard is one of the best in the Wagram region and produces characterful wines. The wine magazine Vinaria describes this wine as a benchmark for Wagramer Veltliner.

Harmonious, impactful and creamy, the wine was allowed to mature in steel tanks for one year and in large, neutral acacia wood barrels for a further year. Now it's slowly showing its full potential. Exotic fruits appear on the nose with delicate marzipan. Dry and very clear on the palate. With every sip, the pressure on the palate builds up. Pineapple with slightly smoky notes. Balanced and with a long finish, every sip glides down and shows the complexity of the wine and vineyard.

Pairs wonderfully with stews or cheese, and a revelation on its own.
