Weingut Günter u. Regina Triebaumer Blaufränkisch Rust Magnum 2021

Many wine lovers now realise that great Blaufränkisch wines come from Rust on Lake Neusiedl. But it doesn't always have to be an expensive single-vineyard wine, as the Triebaumers' so-called classics also impress with their fruit and strength.

Matured in large wooden barrels, you get a fantastic red wine for the money and without a lot of barrique in the flavour. Intense aromas of cherries, black pepper and sour cherries fill the nose. Warm, ripe blackberries with finely integrated tannins on the palate. A savoury finish, dry, lively and also juicy from the chalky loam in Rust. The impressive 2021 vintage shows its full potential.

An all-round success and justifiably awarded 92 points on AlaCarte and Wine Enthusiast. The US Wine & Spirits magazine even awarded it 93 points, plus gold medal at the Burgenland Wine Awards.
