Description
Aptamil ANTI-REFLUX has been developed as a complete food for babies who suffer from reflux and regurgitation. Reflux occurs the contents of the stomach flow back into the oesophagus while regurgitation is when the contents of the stomach come up into your baby's mouth. It is formulated with carob bean gum, a natural thickener, that thickens the formula and helps it to stay in the stomach.
Please note:
- Leading experts strongly recommend breastfeeding babies for the first 6 months of life. Please seek advice from a doctor before switching to infant formula or special infant formula.
- The ANTI-REFLUX Complete Infant Formula should only be used under medical supervision.
- If your paediatrician recommends switching to Aptamil ANTI-REFLUX, you can feed it as the sole food from birth and also as part of a mixed diet starting at 7 months of age..
- Your baby's reflux symptoms should resolve after a few days. If you do not see any improvement, please seek medical advice again.
- Do not additionally thicken Aptamil ANTI-REFLUX with another thickener for baby food.
- This special formula is not suitable for babies who have been diagnosed with allergies or are suspected to have allergies.
Dosage: Refer to the manufacturer's dosage chart below for the correct measurement of powder and water. Please keep in mind however, that the number of bottle feeds per day and how much your baby drinks at each meal are only guidelines and may vary from baby to baby.
Please use the measuring spoon included in the pack to measure out the powder and scrape off any excess powder with the back of a knife. 1 level measuring spoon = 4.6 g powder.
