Description

Whole organic chickpeas are finely ground in the traditional Mulino Sobrino mill to make this flour. It contains about twice as much vegetable protein as wheat flour and is high in fibre. It's also gluten-free.

You can use the slightly nutty-tasting flour in a similar way to wheat or spelt flour, but you can also use it for:

  • vegetarian or vegan patties such as falafel
  • vegan egg substitutes (e.g. for egg-free breading, vegan "scrambled eggs")
  • for savoury muffins
  • as a sauce binder
  • for gluten-free dough: bread, pizza, cakes
  • as a breakfast porridge/porridge alternative

Warning: Chickpea flour should never be consumed raw.
