Description
"Strozzapreti" translates to "priest strangler". In the past, this rich variety of pasta was only served on major festivals and public holidays. This variant includes fermented buckwheat germ that not only adds a particularly intense aroma but also lots of bioactive nutrients, fibre and phosphorus. The traditional production method, where the pasta is made by extrusion from bronze dies, results in excellent cooking properties (stays firm to the bite after cooking) and an improved ability to bind with creamy sauces and pestos - culinary amore mio!
Tip: Strozzapreti are a hearty, doughy treat that children absolutely love! Serve simply with hot butter and a little salt.
Preparation: The manufacturer recommends a cooking time of 6 to 7 minutes in plenty of salted water.
