Walnut oil is a delicacy that adds a wonderfully nutty aroma to a variety of cold dishes. The rustic taste goes particularly well with winter salads with apples, cheese, nuts, seeds and grapes. It is also delicious as a garnish on soups, sauces, purees or vegetable dishes. Walnut oil should always be consumed cold. Heating it might make it taste bitter and will destroy the valuable unsaturated fatty acids it contains.

Tip: Give a new twist to homemade crostini spreads with a dash of this walnut oil. It goes particularly well with tomatoes, olives and herbs and also intensifies the flavours of pumpkin and root vegetables.
