This Riesling from the 1. Lage (single vineyard) "Ried Berg" by the Markus Huber winery is always one of the best of its kind and is justifiably rated very highly by critics every year.

The chalky and barren soil with a slope of over 25% is perfect for the king of white wines. Organic grapes are harvested by hand and matured for 8 months in large wooden barrels. It is at the beginning of drinking maturity although it can be allowed to age for the next 10 years or more.

Very elegant, dry and flavourful on the nose and palate. Ripe stone fruit paired with fine tropical fruit. Multifaceted and very inviting. The perfectly integrated acidity ensures a great balance. A great wine with enormous length without being opulent.

Pairs well with fish, seafood and Asian cuisine.
